A STRONG COMPANY BACKGROUND

SMS Mevac is responsible for secondary metallurgy within SMS Siemag AG, a leading global specialist in steelmaking plants and rolling mill technologies. Our plants fully meet the requirements of all steelproducers worldwide. The term "Mevac" in our company name is derived from two sources: Standard Messo, founded in 1960, and Vacmetal, founded in 1969, both providing pioneering solutions for secondary metallurgical processes. They merged to form Mevac in 1999.
