The RH process, developed at Thyssen Stahl AG, now Thyssen Krupp Stahl AG (TKS) / Germany in 1958 has now been in use in more than 100 plants in a variety of applications. The increased acceptance of the RH method in the eighties and nineties is due to a higher demand for high-grade steel and the progress in integrating the process into the liquid steel flow of steelworks.
