LTS Ladle Treatment Station
SMS Mevac has developed various ladle metallurgy processes to suit the purpose of ladle refining. In these processes ladle refining is conducted without installing large-scale equipment, hence at low cost and by simple operation.

Ladle treatment stations are positioned between the melting and continuous casting facilities.

More than 60 plants installed in EAF and BOF steel making plants have proven the reliability of this concept.
